"Conversations with Myself "entry

Today I experienced an enlightening thought as I was correcting a banking slip up!

I thought a few years ago , I lost what I thought were the Three people who were always going to be there for me ( to look out for me) . In just over 2 years my brother, mother and Frank were gone. I remeber Frank saying to me "I will always be there for you".

Well his is ! When I see that pension at the end of each month.
Thank you Frank, you are looking after me.

Today was a super one in the city that never sleeps.



Sam pulled off a whopper ( for him) four 3's and an ace!

That sent us back to our room with smiles on our faces.

Off to see ' Dennis Miller' comedien at the Orleans where we are staying this trip through Vegas.

Off to Yuma tomorrow , about a 6 hour drive!

On the Road Again 2008

Here we are in Vegas for a couple nights. This stop we planto see'Dennis Miller' at the Orleans where we are staying. Much warmer here than in Logan utah where we spent 3 days with Edenand Robin and of course theirlook a like children ,Isla Belle and Roscoe!

More later when I havemore time to compose and entry about Beijing ect.

Isla Belle at Asti

Oh dear I am not having a great start to this blog entry. Took several attempts to even access. I am discouraged as I thought my vision would be clearer than it is.

Tried to phone Dr. Smith's office then realized it is durgery day so of course there is no answer. Will try tomorrow.

Getting cabin fever big time and my feel like taking a trip out to the lake and get my mail. Also should get started on Chris' hoodie decals. He left me with quite a few this time.

Suggested a 10day plus road trip yesterday with Sophie to Kiersten yesterday for August. Would be great if it happens. Now that is something positive to dwell on.

Seeing so much better today as the day goes on. Can 'almost' read some things.

Went for a walk to the grocery store for some extra goodies for our 'anniversary' meal. Was aware of the wind and brightness even though it was an overcast day.

Doing better with the drops in the affected eye. Still think some of the discomfort is from 'dry eye' but won't know that for awhile I suppose.

Still not wearing any makeup on my RT eye, however the full routine on the left. I think it is called vanity.

Was hoping to drive the av4 tomorrow but will probably wait for another couple days to be on the safe side.

CATARACT EYE SURGERY

Well it seemed like a complete success! Now to behave myself and let things heal.
Lots of drops for the next 6 weeks 4x's a day.

My surgery was on Wednesday May 21,2008 in Calgary with Dr. Stanley Smith.
Some pressure yesterday but attribute most of it to emotional stress. Bless her heart Kie called twice yesterday to see how I was getting along. She picked up on my shakey voice on the first call. What a wonderful person she truely is.

Today the pressure is almost non existent . Did notice a ? scar ? at about 4 oclock position- wise on the white of my RT eye today. Will follow it along to see what comes of it.

Also washed my hair with great care this morning. I realize that I was a day early.

Waiting on Sam to pick me up in one of his BIG water trucks to take to Edmonton for service. He will return with the first truck that he took up last week

Record of Right Sinus discomfort

Working on my 2nd account name. Patience is the name of the game!

Record of my right eye/sinus discomfort as I lead up to Wednesday right eye cataract surgery.

Woke up around 4:30 am May 17th with big time right maxillary sinus pain, right ear and upper and lower teeth aching. Took 2 sinus tylenol and tried to go back to sleep.

Later around 8 am still had moderate discomfort so took another tylenol and spent 10 hours at Asti II painting the "new cabin". Could feel a low grade discomfort all day. Painting was a good distractant.

Took another tylenol before going to bed around 12 midnight and also put polisporin in both nostrils.

Woke around 3:30 am ( Sunday 18th) with big time right maxillary Pain. Deep massaged up against my right nostril for several moments. Seemed to relieve the pressure.

There is a small dropping from the the native trees at Asti just now. May had an allergy to this perhaps.

Got up at 5am to record this info.

This is my second attempt as I put in the wrong e-mail yesterday.

Now that is an adventure of the mind as I see it.

Lets hope it does not happen again.

I have taken so long to get this all set up again that I will be ever so brief tonight.

Sam and I went to Edmonton today to run several errands for him/ the resort.

Took us all day zig -zagging across the city.. However nice to be able to do it together.

Stopped at a truck stop for chinese food. Will not do that again, was bloated all afternoon.

Went for an hour walk when we got back to Lacombe and both felt much better for it.

Heard from Marilyn today that she had ordered everyone 's tickets for the wheelchair basketball games in Beijing. Now we wait for confirmation.
